Capita Group PLC19 October 2006 Capita selected by Swindon Borough Council as Preferred Bidder for Strategic Partnership The Capita Group Plc ("Capita") announces that it has been selected as preferredbidder by Swindon Borough Council to develop a ten-year incremental strategicpartnership worth approximately £140 million. Capita will deliver a wide range of services including customer services, IT,property and the administration of HR, payroll and finance, with revenues andbenefits from April 2008. Final negotiations are currently in progress with thecontract expected to commence in early December 2006. The strategic partnership will involve the TUPE transfer of approximately 350staff from the Council to Capita. Residents and businesses will benefit from thedevelopment of a new contact centre and a 'one stop shop', which will become thefirst point of contact for all services the council offers.
