Preferred bidder for DIO strategic partnership

10 March 2014 Capita selected as preferred bidder for DIO strategic partnership Capita plc has been selected as preferred bidder by the Ministry of Defence(MOD) to be the Strategic Business Partner for the Defence InfrastructureOrganisation (DIO). Capita will lead a partnership comprising two integratedsub-contractors, URS and PA Consulting. The partnership will lead themanagement and transformation of the UK's national and international defenceinfrastructure. The 10-year contract could be worth around £400 million toCapita. The partnership will initially deliver an 18-month transformation projectdesigned to produce a blueprint for the future strategic asset management ofthe estate. The blueprint will then be executed by the partnership workingclosely with the MOD to create a world-class infrastructure deliveryorganisation capable of supporting the long-term objectives of the MOD.
