PRE-EARNINGS GUIDANCE FOR 2Q 2016
(UNAUDITED OPERATING STATISTICS)
LG Electronics Inc. (the ''Company'') is pleased to announce certain unaudited operating statistics of the Company and its subsidiaries (the ''Group'') for the second quarter of 2016 as follows.
In the second quarter of 2016, the Group's consolidated sales amounted to KRW 14,001.7 billion (as compared to KRW 13,362.1 billion in 2016.1Q and KRW 13,925.7 billion in 2015.2Q), representing a quarter-on-quarter increase of 4.8% (QoQ +4.8%) and a year-on-year increase of 0.5% (YoY +0.5%).
The Group's consolidated operating income amounted to KRW 584.6 billion (as compared to KRW 505.2 billion in 2016.1Q and KRW 244.1 billion in 2015.2Q), representing a quarter-on-quarter increase of 15.7% (QoQ +15.7%) and a year-on-year increase of 139.5% (YoY +139.5 %), respectively.
