Opsec Security Group PLC27 September 2006 27th September 2006 OpSec Security Group plc Pre-closing update Prior to entering the close period for the half year ending 30th September 2006OpSec Security Group plc, the supplier of high quality anti-counterfeitingtechnologies and services, released today the following pre-closing update. The Group's European operations have performed very strongly and theirprofitability will be significantly ahead of the first half of the prior year. 3dcd's major customer's software release scheduled for early in 2007 hasresulted in increased levels of business. In the first half the Group willreceive a contribution from this joint venture significantly in excess of itsinitial expectations. This increased contribution is largely one off in natureand will not be repeated in the second half of the financial year. The American operations experienced slow trading in the first quarter of thecurrent year but activity levels increased markedly in the second quarter. Theintegration of GenuOne has proceeded to plan and the outlook for the second halfof the current year is good. GenuOne has secured a number of new contracts andthe enhanced product and service the Group can now offer places it in a strongposition to secure contracts with new major brand owners.
