Incisive Media PLC10 January 2005 INCISIVE MEDIA PLC PRE-CLOSE PERIOD STATEMENT Incisive Media plc, the specialist business information provider, todayannounces its pre-close period statement in respect of the twelve months to 31stDecember 2004. As stated at the announcement of our interim results in September 2004, we stillexpect the performance for the year to be at the top end of market forecasts,which shows considerable year on year improvement at both revenue and earningslevel. We also expect to demonstrate further operating margin improvement overthe already strong increases reported in 2003. We expect to report underlying revenue growth in all core divisions during 2004,and we have seen especially strong performances in our Investment and Mortgagedivisions. Initiative Europe, the publishing and data business serving the Private Equitysector, which was acquired in April 2004, has performed in line with ourexpectations for the year and with a strong last quarter in forward bookings,the outlook for 2005 is encouraging. Outlook 2004 saw significantly improved trading conditions compared to 2003 for businessto business publishing in the financial sectors that we serve and we remaincautiously optimistic that this recovery is continuing and sustainable. As aresult, we are confident of another year of further strong growth in 2005. It is currently anticipated that Incisive Media will announce its preliminaryresults for the year ended 31 December 2004 during the week commencing 7th March2005.
