Dairy Crest Group PLC14 May 2007 14 May 2007 Dairy Crest Group plc ("Dairy Crest") Potential closure of Totnes site Dairy Crest has recently undertaken a strategic review of the non-returnablecontainer ("NRC") operations in its Dairies Division. As a result of the reviewDairy Crest confirmed today that it is considering the potential closure of theTotnes site and will immediately start a consultation process with employees andunions over the next 90 days. Currently the Totnes site employs 164 people.Existing glass bottle and NRC milk production will be transferred to other DairyCrest sites with spare capacity. The closure of the Totnes site is expected to result in exceptional cash costsof approximately £3.0 million and an exceptional non-cash asset write down of£3.0 million in the year ending March 2008.
