POSTING OF SCHEME DOCUMENTS AND CIRCULAR

Further to the announcement of the Company made on 4 May 2011 that the Supreme Court of Queensland, Australia had made orders for the convening of the Scheme Meetings, the Company announces that it has today posted to shareholders, optionholders and DI holders the relevant scheme booklet, option explanatory statement and notice of Scheme Meetings (together, the "Scheme Documents") along with a shareholder circular ("Circular") including a notice of general meeting to shareholders.

The Scheme Documents and the Circular are available on the Company's website, www.alliedgold.com.au.

Capitalised terms used, but not otherwise defined, in this announcement have the same meanings as set out in the Company's announcement of 4 May 2011 with RNS number 8920F.
