Notice of General Meeting
Merchant Securities plc, the financial services group, announces that a Circular was posted yesterday to its shareholders, providing notice of a general meeting and setting out details of a proposed name change. The Company is proposing to change its name to Merchant Securities Group plc and to rename its operating subsidiary, which currently trades as Merchant John East Securities Limited, Merchant Securities Limited.
The general meeting will be held on 30 June at 10.00 a.m. at the offices of Merchant John East Securities, 10 Finsbury Square, London EC2A 1AD. If adopted, the proposed name change of the Company is expected to become effective on Friday, 9 July 2010 and the proposed name change of Merchant John East Securities Limited is expected to become effective before the start of business on Monday, 12 July 2010.
