Posting of Notice of General Meeting to shareholders

SNR announces that yesterday it posted a circular to SNR shareholders. The circular incorporates a notice of General Meeting ("GM") together with an explanatory schedule and a Form of Proxy. It is proposed that the GM will be held at the offices of FTI Consulting, at Holborn Gate, 26 Southampton Buildings, London WC2A 1PB at 11.00 a.m. on Thursday 20 June 2013.

The purpose of convening the GM will be to seek shareholder approval to the grant of new authorities to allot new ordinary shares. The directors of SNR believe that it would be prudent to seek new share allotment authorities at this time in order to ensure that the Company has sufficient flexibility to allot and issue new shares to, inter alia, strategic investors and thereby seek to ensure that it has sufficient working capital to finance the repayment of the short term bridging loan with Land Consultants Limited and fund operations at the Elitheni mine. Accordingly, at the GM, the SNR Board will seek the authority to allot new ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") in the nominal amount of £900,000 which equates to 90,000,000 new Ordinary Shares, representing approximately 53 per cent. of the Company's existing issued ordinary share capital.
