Desire Petroleum plc (AIM:DES) the exploration company focusing on the North Falkland Basin, confirms that the notice of the Company's annual general meeting ("AGM") and form of proxy have been despatched to shareholders. The Annual Report and Financial Statements for the year ended 31 December 2012 (the "Annual Report") have also been posted out to shareholders who have elected to receive a hard copy. The Annual Report and AGM notice are available to download from the Company's website, www.desireplc.co.uk

The AGM will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday 29 May 2013 at the offices of Buchanan Limited; 3rd Floor, 107 Cheapside, London, EC2V 6DN.
