HMV Group PLC25 August 2005 25 August 2005 HMV Group plc Possible interest in Ottakar's plc HMV Group notes the announcement by the Board of Ottakar's plc ("Ottakar's" orthe "Company") on 16 August 2005 that it had entered into discussions inrelation to a possible offer being made for the Company by a new company to beformed by private equity investors and certain directors of Ottakar's. HMV Group confirms that it is in preliminary discussions with the committee ofOttakar's independent directors which may or may not lead to an offer being madefor the Company.
