POSITIVE RESPONSE TO NEW P3 PRODUCT LAUNCH

Xaar plc ("Xaar" or "the Company"), the inkjet printing technology group headquartered in Cambridge, confirms a positive response to the launch of its latest Platform 3 product.

The Xaar 1001 GS12 printhead is the Company's second Platform 3 product and is designed specifically to accelerate and strengthen Xaar's leading position in the ceramic tile decoration market, driving the continuing transition from analogue printing to digital printing of ceramic tiles.

The Xaar 1001 GS12 printhead provides significant optimised benefits over existing products for this specific application, delivering either twice the colour density or twice the production speed of the original Xaar 1001 GS6 product, which the Company expects will enable it to accelerate the digitalisation of ceramic tile decoration worldwide.

The Xaar 1001 GS12 printhead made its global debut at Ceramics China 2012 (28th-31st May, Guangzhou, China) and is currently sampling with both Asian and European OEM partners. Xaar expects that the first printers to feature the new printhead will be launched at Tecnargilla (Rimini, Italy, 24th -28th September 2012) and to achieve volume sales from the third quarter of 2012 onwards.
