CONROY GOLD & NATURAL RESOURCES PLC - Positive Mineralogical Report

PR Newswire

London, June 3

4 June 2013 Conroy Gold and Natural Resources plc ("Conroy" or "the Company") POSITIVE MINERALOGICAL REPORT ON CLONTIBRET * Mineralogical Characteristics of Flotation Bulk Concentrate and Rougher Tailings Analysed * Gold grade in the Bulk Concentrate was very high - 32.8 g/t with 3 g/t silver * Exposure and association of the particulate gold in the Bulk Concentrate sample also very high (~90%) * Bulk Concentrate Amenable to the Biox® Process Proposed in the Scoping Study Conroy Gold and Natural Resources plc ("Conroy Gold") (AIM: CGNR, ESM: CGNR.I),the gold exploration and mine development company, is pleased to announce thatthe mineralogical report on the flotation Bulk Concentrate and Rougher Tailingsamples has been received and is positive. Conroy Gold has discovered a thirtymile gold district in Ireland running across Counties Armagh, Monaghan andCavan and is planning to develop its first operational gold mine at Clontibretin Co. Monaghan. The mineralogy of the flotation samples was investigated using QEMSCAN - anintegrated automated mineralogy and petrography solution in combination withX-ray diffraction and geochemical analyses to identify and quantifymineralogical characteristics. The gold grade in the Bulk Concentrate was very high at 32.8 g/t with 3 g/tsilver. The Rougher Tailing had a much lower gold grade of 0.25 g/t and 1 g/tof silver showing that most of the gold is being captured in the BulkConcentrate. The test results indicated that most of the gold in the Bulk Concentrate isassociated with sulphides. This association suggests that these samples will beamenable to the Biox® process proposed in the Scoping Study, as the sulphideswould be broken down during the process. Exposure and association of theparticulate gold in the Bulk Concentrate was very high (~90%) indicating thatmost of this gold should be recovered during leaching. Professor Richard Conroy, Chairman, commented: "I am very pleased to see the continuedpositiveprogress in the metallurgicaltestworkwhich is most encouraging as we move forward with the technical studiesrequired forthe planning and development of the Company's first operationalgold mine."
