Portsmouth A&E Department live with Oceano ED
Following open procurement, Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust awarded Servelec Healthcare Limited a 5 year contract to deliver Oceano ED to support and help the A&E department run more efficiently reducing paperwork and streamlining business processes for clinicians.
Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust has now gone live with Oceano, just 4 months after signing the contract and during the, often problematic, winter period. Subsequent phases will follow including the integration of Oceano with other Emergency Department systems.
Oceano will replace the time intensive manual processes enabling the Trust to ultimately go paperless within the department and improve patient care.
Consultant in Emergency Medicine, Dr Eliot Wilkinson from Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust said:
"PHT are excited to be working in partnership with Servelec taking modern Emergency Care forward ensuring safe and quality care to our patients".
Lindsay Dransfield Servelec Healthcare's Sales Director comments:
"We are delighted that Portsmouth chose Oceano ED. We have worked closely with the Trust during the rapid go live and together with the Trust we have worked through a challenging deployment delivering on time and budget".
