Electra Private Equity PLC02 October 2006 Electra Private Equity PLC - Portfolio Update 2 October 2006 Electra Private Equity PLC ("Electra") announces that as at 30 September 2006,its ten largest investments were: RBS Floating Rate NotesBNP Paribas Floating Rate NotesBarclays Bank Floating Rate NotesAbbey National Floating Rate NotesHBOS Treasury Floating Rate NotesBank of Ireland Floating Rate NotesAllflex Holdings IILloyds TSB Floating Rate NotesAlliance & Leicester Floating Rate NotesNationwide Floating Rate Notes Electra's financial year ended on 30 September 2006. The net asset value pershare at that date will be announced when the Preliminary Results are issued andwill reflect the revaluation of the unlisted portfolio at 30 September 2006 andon-market purchases for cancellation of Electra's shares during the year. The list of investments shown above was calculated on the basis of the assetvaluation at 31 March 2006 adjusted to reflect completed purchases and sales ofinvestments, currency movements and bid values in respect of listed investmentsand unlisted investments where these are valued by reference to quoted prices. This list includes all investments with a value greater than 5% of Electra'sgross assets at 30 September 2006.
