Japan Residential Investment Company Limited (AIM: JRIC) is a closed-ended Guernsey registered company established to make and hold investments in residential property in Japan. The Company, its subsidiaries and entities in which it has a beneficial interest are referred to collectively as "the Fund".
On 31 March 2011, the Fund portfolio occupancy rate was 96.9%, up from 92.2% on the same date one year prior. This represents the highest occupancy rate achieved by the Fund, to date, and March 2011 is the sixth consecutive month in which occupancy exceeded 95%.
Average occupancy for the first four months of the current financial year increased from 90.9% to 95.9% over the same period one year prior. Average occupancy for the six months ended 31 March 2011 increased to 95.7% from 91.0% for the same period one year prior. Average occupancy for the 12 months ended 31 March 2011 has increased to 94.1% from 91.5% for the 12 months ended 31 March 2010.
