PlateScan Featured on US TV show "Jacked"
Appian Technology plc, the AIM listed provider of Automatic Number Plate Recognition systems ('ANPR') and traffic management products and solutions, announces that ANPR products supplied by PlateScan Inc., the Company's US Original Equipment Manufacturer ('OEM') partner, will be featured in action on a new crime focussed reality TV show being broadcast on US television from August 22nd.
The A&E Network show, "Jacked" will follow the exploits of the Essex Union (NJ) Auto Theft Task Force in Newark, New Jersey. The Task Force uses PlateScan technology to assist in the identification and recovery of stolen vehicles used by criminals for robbery, drug dealing and other illegal activities in the City.
Appian Chairman Pat Ryan said, "This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the benefits that the utilisation of our ANPR products can bring to security and law enforcement agencies in the field. We are gaining further penetration in the US as the effectiveness of our technology is recognised and we are working closely with our partners to translate this interest into sales."
