Merchant House Group PLC11 January 2008 11th January 2008 Merchant House Group PLC ("MHG" or the "Company") (GB 0000577386) PLACING, ADMISSION & TVR UPDATE Following the announcement made on 24th December, 2007 regarding a placing ofshares to raise up to £650,000, the Board of Merchant House Group PLC is pleasedto announce the placing of the second tranche of 17,100,000 Ordinary Shares of0.5p at an average price of 1.8059p each, raising £308,809, with each shareissued carrying a warrant that is convertible into one share at a conversionprice of 2p per warrant, exercisable for two years. The initial placing raised£210,000 and therefore, the total raised to date is £518,809. Application has today been made to the AIM market of the London Stock Exchangefor the admission of 17,100,000 new Ordinary Shares of 0.5p each, to satisfythis second tranche of the placing and dealings are expected to commence onThursday 17th January 2008. As a result of the issue of the new Ordinary Shares, the issued share capital isnow 71,446,800. The Company does not hold any shares in treasury and there isno other class of share in issue which has voting rights. Consequently MHG'stotal number of voting rights is 71,446,800 and this figure may be used byshareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they willdetermine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to theirinterest in MHG, under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
