Spiritel PLC05 April 2005 For immediate release 5 April 2005 SPIRITEL PLC ("Spiritel" or "the Company") Placing of shares by WH Ireland Ltd Spiritel plc (AIM: STP), the telecommunications services business, is pleased toannounce that it has placed 615,384 new ordinary shares at 13p per share (the "Placing"), raising gross proceeds of approximately £80,000, equivalent to 0.45per cent of the Company's issued share capital prior to the Placing. The Placing was carried out under the Company's disapplication authority, underwhich it is allowed to raise up to 5 per cent of its share capital on a nonpre-emptive basis under section 95 of the Companies Act. Application for theplacing shares to be admitted to AIM has been made and it is expected that theplacing shares will begin trading on AIM on 11 April 2005. The placing shareswill rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares. Following the placing the Company will have a total of 137,819,803 ordinaryshares in issue.
