Pipeline Update
Amerisur Resources Plc the oil and gas producer and explorer focused on South America, is pleased to announce the approval of the modification to the Platanillo field global exploitation licence for the construction and operation of the Ecuador interconnector oil pipeline. This modification has been approved by the Autoridad Nacional de Licenciamiento Ambiental ("ANLA"), a Division of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development of the Republic of Colombia.
Additionally the ANLA approved the Company's application for the operation of up to two water disposal wells per production Pad. Each well is permitted to dispose of up to 20,000 barrels of water per day into the Tertiary Pepino formation.
Giles Clarke, Chairman of Amerisur commented:
