Phoenix Group Holdings announces departure of Group FD

Phoenix Group announces that Group Finance Director, Jonathan Yates, will be leaving the Group on 29 February 2012 to take up the position of Chief Executive at Guardian Financial Services.

Paul Miles, currently Deputy Group Finance Director, will become Acting Group Finance Director with immediate effect, whilst the Board and the Nomination Committee commence a formal process to identify a permanent replacement.

Clive Bannister, Group Chief Executive, said:

"We thank Jonathan for all his efforts on our behalf over the last 18 months. I would like to congratulate him on his new role and wish him every success in the future.

"I have great confidence that Paul and the rest of our finance team will continue to drive Phoenix towards success in meeting its objectives, whilst the Board considers a permanent appointment."
