Centaur Media PLC08 October 2007 8th October 2007 Centaur Media plc ("Centaur") Centaur, the specialist business publishing and information company, announcestoday that, following a strategic review, it has decided to discontinue PerfectAnalysis, the equity research service developed by Perfect Information. PerfectAnalysis was originally launched in 2004 following the acquisition of SynergySoftware Solutions Ltd. In the year ended 30 June 2007, Perfect Analysis'results, as reported segmentally within Perfect Information, consisted ofrevenues of £0.6 million and losses of £0.3m. Geoff Wilmot, Chief Executive Officer, said: "As we indicated in our recent results announcement, whilst Perfect Analysis hasbeen a considerable technical success, it has yet to prove itself commercially. We have therefore been conducting a thorough review of our strategic options forthis business. The review found that Perfect Analysis' superior ease of use and functionalitycould not overcome its relative lack of content. We have concluded that, inorder to achieve commercial success with Perfect Analysis, we need to commit toa significant investment in content and in delivering a faster pace ofdevelopment. In our view there is a high degree of uncertainty as to the returnwe would receive on this investment. The Board has therefore concluded thatshareholders would be better rewarded by directing Centaur's resources towardsupgrading and developing the core filings business of Perfect Information, wherewe see significantly greater opportunities for growth. In view of this we havedecided to discontinue Perfect Analysis."
