The Restaurant Group plc ('the Company') announces that on 31 December 2010 Tony Hughes, non-executive Director, purchased 81,476 shares in the Company at a price of £2.742 per share.

Following these transactions Mr Hughes has increased his shareholding in The Restaurant Group plc to 91,476 shares, and his shareholding now represents 0.05% of the issued share capital.
