PDMRs' SHAREHOLDINGS
The Company announces the following changes in the interests of persons discharging managerial responsibility in its Ordinary Shares of 10 pence each (the "Ordinary Shares"), of which notification was received on 3 July 2008.
Grant of options under the Home Retail Group UK Approved Sharesave Plan (the "Plan")
On 1 July 2008 the Company granted new options in respect of its Ordinary Shares under the terms of the Plan as follows:

The above grant to Mr Ashton replaces a grant of 2,493 options previously made to him under the terms of the Plan on 3 July 2007, which he has cancelled and which have accordingly lapsed.
The above grant to Mr Duddy also replaces a grant of 4,320 options previously made to him under the terms of the Plan on 3 July 2007, which he has cancelled and which have accordingly lapsed.
Notification of these changes is made pursuant to DR 3.1.4R(1)(a).
