Payment of Preference Share Dividend

ABERDEEN ASSET MANAGEMENT PLC

Aberdeen Asset Management PLC announces that in connection with its issue, on 30 June 2005, of Convertible Preference Share Units (comprising Preference Shares and Warrants), a non-cumulative preferential dividend of £67.50 per Unit will be payable on 30 June 2010 in respect of each Preference Share held on the register at close of business on 29 June 2010.

The Exchange Price for the Warrants remains at 92 pence per Ordinary Share.
