blinkx Takes Viewers on a Cross-Country Road Trip With Footage From the Notorious Gumball 3000 Rally

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - May 6, 2009 - blinkx, the world's largest video search engine, today announced a new partnership with Gumball 3000. Dozens of clips from the lifestyle brand's annual Gumball 3000 Rally are being made accessible at www.blinkx.com as they become available. Leveraging its unique AdHoc platform, blinkx will also place contextually relevant advertising against these videos, and share resulting advertising revenue with Gumball 3000.

The Gumball 3000 Rally, now in its 11th year, takes place on public roads and attracts participants from all over the world, including popular figures from sport, film, and music. This year's "Coast to Coast" event will span the United States, with 120 cars starting their engines in Los Angeles, California and driving seven full days to the finish line in Miami, Florida. Tony Hawk, David Hasselhoff, and Bam Margera are among those signed on as drivers.
