Minco PLC04 April 2007 Minco Unveils Exceptional Exploration Results at Pallas Green London, 04 April 2007 - Minco plc (MIO), the London AIM quoted precious and basemetals exploration and development company announces the results of recentdrilling at the Tobermalug Prospect, part of the Pallas Green joint venture withXstrata Plc in Ireland. Highlights • Bore hole intercepts highest ever grades ever at Pallas Green: 34.56% combined lead and zinc over 2.25 metres • Currently drilling closer to the structure believed to control mineralisation • Deploying additional drill rigs to increase to 5 rigs by early May Exploration Director's Comment Commenting on the announcement, Terence McKillen, Director of Exploration "Agrade of 34.56% combined zinc and lead is the highest grade intersection we haveever encountered at Pallas Green. Five drills will shortly be working in theCaherconlish area between bore hole "636-55 and the Ballyneety Fault, which isprojected to lie approximately 500 metres to the south and could be thecontrolling structure for mineralisation. We are delighted with this result andeagerly await the next results" The company has received assay results for the latest hole, 636-55, summarisedin the table below: Hole Number From To Intersection Zinc Lead (m) (m) (m) (%) (%) 636-55 360.50 369.25 8.75 10.54 1.79Including 360.65 365.40 4.75 16.32 2.67Or 360.65 362.90 2.25 25.82 8.74 This latest drill hole confirms the company's belief that potential remains forthe discovery of a significant body of high grade mineralisation in this area, especially to the southeast, south and southwest, towards the Ballyneety Faultprojected 500m to 600m to the south. Hole 636-56 is in progress to intersectthe target horizon 100m to the south of 636-55. Previously announced results from Tobermalug with reported grades over 5% zincare summarized in the following table: Hole Number From To Intersection Zinc Lead (m) (m) (m) (%) (%) 636-10 263.97 238.31 1.34 6.47 0.40636-20 326.35 334.40 8.05 10.02 1.48636-22 332.95 337.45 4.50 7.86 0.98636-24 348.50 350.50 2.00 6.91 0.47636-35 355.75 358.05 2.30 7.67 1.38636-49 341.25 352.50 11.25 11.35 1.91636-53 369.25 370.60 1.35 12.78 2.33 Currently there are three drills working on the property one at Tobermalug andtwo on the regional exploration targets. In early May it is planned to movethese two "regional exploration" drills to Caherconlish along with the drillcurrently at Tobermalug and two additional machines, to investigate the extentof the known mineralisation in the Caherconlish area at which time there will befive machines operating on the known mineralisation in the Caherconlish area atTobermalug, Srahane West and Caherconlish South.
