Proventec PLC25 July 2006 Press Release 25 July 2006 Proventec Plc ("Proventec" or "the Company") Agreement with Oxford Catalysts Proventec Plc (AIM:PROV), a provider of specialist steam cleaning and coatingstechnologies, today announces that it has entered into a nine month prototypedevelopment programme with AiM-listed Oxford Catalysts Group PLC ("OxfordCatalysts"), to develop and exploit novel catalyst technology for the industrialsteam cleaning market which is both cost-effective and environmentally friendly.This programme follows the successful completion of an evaluation phase ofOxford Catalysts' technology by the Company, pursuant to a contract signed inFebruary 2006. Proventec has agreed to pay Oxford Catalysts up to £100,000 forits contracted services under this initial agreement. Oxford Catalysts has developed a unique catalytic method for the production ofsteam directly from a liquid fuel, instantaneously starting from roomtemperature. This technology dispenses with the need for a boiler, power cables,external heat source or generator in a compact, safe and portable way. Bothcompanies recognise that the technology has direct application in thefast-growing markets for industrial steam cleaning, including street cleaning,food processing, packaging plants and hospitals, enabling mobile applicationsthat are not currently feasible.
