This announcement is made pursuant to Rule 13.10(B) of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on TheStock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited. Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd. (the "Company") announces that, based on the Company'spreliminary statistics, as of 30 June 2013, total power generation of the Company and its subsidiaries (the"Group") amounted to approximately 92.8545 billion kWh, representing a decrease of approximately 2.08% whencompared to the corresponding period of the previous year. Total on-grid power generation of the Groupamounted to approximately 87.7776 billion kWh, representing a decrease of approximately 2.00% when comparedto the corresponding period of the previous year. The Group's power generation of thermal power generation units decreased by approximately 2.73% when comparedto the corresponding period of the previous year which was attributable to a slowdown in economic growth ofChina and the decrease in overall regional on-grid utilisation hours of thermal power generation units andthe impact brought by planned maintenance of generation units. The Group's power generation of hydro-electricpower generation units decreased by approximately 5.35% when compared to the corresponding period of theprevious year as a result of the decrease in inflow water in the basin where the generation units situated.Since the capacity of the Group's wind power generation units increased on a year-to-year basis and as aresult of elevation of efficiency, power generation of the Group's wind power generation units increased byapproximately 53.42% when compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
