Ocean Power Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: OPTT and London StockExchange AIM: OPT) ("OPT" or the "Company") announced that itsPowerBuoy(R) interface with the electrical utility power grid has beencertified as compliant with international standards. An independentlaboratory, Intertek Testing Services, provided testing and evaluationservices to certify that the OPT systems comply with designatednational and international standards. £ As a requirement for utility connections, generation resourcessuch as OPT's PowerBuoy, must conform to international safetystandards, including UL1741 and IEEE1547. As proof of OPT'scompliance, the PowerBuoy grid interface will bear the ETL Listed Markand can be connected to the utility grid. £ Dr. George W.
