Cellcast plc11 April 2007 Press Release 11 April 2007 Cellcast plc ("Cellcast" or "the Company") Operational Update Cellcast plc (AIM:CLTV), the global interactive digital broadcaster, is pleasedto announce that it has now added two television channels in Brazil to itsrapidly expanding global network of broadcaster relationships. Rede TV, one of the larger terrestrial broadcasters in Brazil, has contractedCellcast to deploy the Company's interstitial applications (i.e. shortinteractive segments shown within and between shows), across multipleprogrammes, including the top rated "A Tarde E Sua". On Bandeirantes, theleading sports-focussed terrestrial broadcaster, Cellcast will provideinterstitial applications integrated into Bandeirantes' highest rated programme, the bi-weekly broadcast of Premier League Brazilian soccer. Cellcast believes that, across Latin America, television remains the mostpowerful and effective medium for promoting interactive content. Cellcast'sapplications in this region are now generating over 14 million minutes worth ofcalls per month, equating to almost £1 million in gross revenue for the Companyper month. Cellcast believes the Company is the regional leader inparticipation-TV across a rapidly expanding market which, according to analysisby Frost & Sullivan, will grow from US$594.2 million for mobile entertainmentservices across Latin America in 2005 to an estimated US$2.61 billion in 2012. Cellcast now derives over 60 per cent of its revenues from internationalmarkets, with significant growth coming from the success of its innovative, newly developed interactive formats, specifically those that have been scheduledin prime time hours by leading terrestrial broadcasters, as well as from theincremental growth of participation-TV across the world. Current trading is not affected by recent Ofcom investigations into call TVservices in television programmes in the UK. The Company has not operated suchquiz formats in the UK market for almost two years. Andrew Wilson, CEO of Cellcast, said: "We believe that the current review ofparticipation-TV in the UK is extremely beneficial for the long-term future ofthe industry. It should prove advantageous for Cellcast, since we havesubstantial experience of markets in which the regulatory environment is morestringent and clearly defined. We already have a proven raft of interactiveformats that are based on skill and extremely transparent to the participant. "I am delighted with the results that we are seeing from our internationalmarkets, particularly Latin America and India. That we are now operating inover fifteen countries demonstrates the effectiveness of our interactivebroadcast model, which is delivering new revenue streams and the activeengagement of television audiences worldwide." - Ends - For further information:Cellcast plcAndrew Wilson, CEO Tel: +44 (0) 20 7190 [email protected] www.cellcast.tv HB CorporateEdward Hutton / Rachel Kane Tel: +44 (0) 20 7510 [email protected] www.hbcorporate.co.uk Media enquiries:AbchurchGareth Mead / Joanne Shears Tel: +44 (0) 20 7398 [email protected] www.abchurch-group.com Notes to Editors: Cellcast plc Cellcast plc (AIM:CLTV) is a leading international provider of participationtelevision applications and interactive mobile content in the fast-growingmulti-platform digital entertainment sector.
