Operational Update - Furnace Roof Upgrade and Sky Chrome
Following its IMS and Production Report issued on 19 July, IFL provides the following update to the market regarding its furnace roof upgrade project and mining at Sky Chrome.
Installation of the first furnace roof was completed, and the Company switched in the furnace successfully on 30 July 2011. The furnace is expected to ramp up to full production from mid-September as previously announced. The roof upgrade has been completed on time and within budget.
The second furnace roof upgrade is progressing to plan with switch-in expected in early September and ramp-up to full production from mid-October.
In a further update to the 19 July IMS and production report, the first delivery of ore has been received at the IFL plant from the new mining operations at Sky Chrome.
