Operational update
RapidCloud International plc (AIM: RCI), one of the few integrated subscription-based computing solutions providers in Southeast Asia to offer its services through all three segments of cloud computing, provides the following operational update ahead of its Preliminary Results for the year ended 31 December 2013, which will be announced in early May 2014.
In recent months, RapidCloud has built an enterprise sales team under the leadership of its new Head of Sales, Lee Mooi Chee (also known as Fion), formerly of Microsoft Malaysia and Dell Asia Pacific. As a result, the Company now has an integrated approach to sales across all of the geographies in which it is present. RapidCloud expects that this will enable the faster roll-out of new products and services as well providing numerous cross-selling opportunities.
In terms of new products, RapidCloud has continued to invest in research & development and notable recent additions to its portfolio, which open up new enterprise sales opportunities, include:
RapidCRM, a SaaS based sales automation & analytics product helping clients improve customer relations, internal communications and pipeline assessment and maximise up-selling and cross-selling opportunities. With a full launch expected in April 2014 the Company has already secured its first customer, a global accountancy firm based in Bangkok.
RapidSearch is a "big data" solution expected to launch in May 2014. Offering comprehensive reporting and data analysis, the product can analyse structured and unstructured data, both private and in the public sphere.
RapidERP is a cloud-based ERP (enterprise resource planning) solution, providing a management system to streamline manufacturing processes as well as business process automation for all facets of an organisation. RapidCloud has secured its first customer for RapidERP in the manufacturing sector, which has been using the system since early 2014. The customer is engaged in a multi-phase project and has paid RapidCloud RM0.5 million to date.
Chew Man Fai, Technical Director of RapidCloud commented: "The past six months has seen us strengthen our Research and Development team significantly and we have developed a range of quality solutions designed to map to the profile of new enterprise customers, our current customer base and, indeed, any SME. These solutions will be fully rolled-out during Q2 and we will look to see the adoption of each solution by a cornerstone customer."
RapidCloud can also confirm that, following the successful completion of the extensive regulatory procedures required, the Company has now incorporated PT RapidCloud Indonesia as a wholly owned subsidiary of RapidCloud International Plc. RapidCloud anticipates appointing a country manager in Q2 2014 and Raymond Chee, the Group's founder and Managing Director, will be closely supporting the growth. Indonesia is a very important strategic territory in Asia and is the fourth most populated country in the world and Southeast Asia's biggest economy.
Raymond Chee, Managing Director of RapidCloud commented: "We have made significant progress with our expansion into Indonesia and having PT RapidCloud Indonesia established is a clear milestone for our future progress in the region.
"Our Research and Development team has created functionally rich products to take us up the value chain and which we believe will generate strong demand from existing and potential customers. I look forward to reporting on further progress in the near future."
