Renewable Energy Generation Ltd
Operation of Goonhilly and Loscar Wind Farms
Renewable Energy Generation Limited ("REG" or the "Company") (AIM: WIND), the UK renewable energy group, today announces that its new wind projects at Goonhilly Downs (12MW) and Loscar (4.5MW) have been energised and are now beginning to export power to their local grids. REG now has 37.15MW of wind and 5.35MW of Bio-Power plants in operation.
Construction of REG's other new wind project at High Haswell in County Durham is underway with turbines scheduled for delivery in November. The addition of High Haswell will increase REG's operational wind portfolio to 41.15MW with an anticipated output of around 108GWh per annum of green electricity.
Andrew Whalley, Chief Executive Officer of Renewable Energy Generation, said:
"The simultaneous construction of Goonhilly and Loscar has tested our construction team but both projects have been finished on time and to budget. With High Haswell scheduled for operation in January, a number of our other development projects set for determination in coming months and with the expected construction of the 10MW Sancton Hill project next year, we are confident that our current momentum can be maintained."
