OLD MUTUAL LIFE ASSURANCE COMPANY (SOUTH AFRICA) LIMITED - REDEMPTION NOTICE FOR OML01 NOTES

Old Mutual plc (the Company) announces that a notice of redemption has today been issued by its subsidiary, Old Mutual Life Assurance Company (South Africa) Limited (OMLACSA) for ZAR 3 billion notes issued on 27 October 2005 under OMLACSA's Unsecured Subordinated Callable Note Programme dated 25 October 2005.

The notes will be redeemed at the first optional redemption date of 27 October 2015.
