·; Appointment of highly experienced Andrew Pfaff to the role of General Manager - Operations, based in India

Oilex Ltd (ASX:OEX, AIM:OEX) is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Pfaff to the position of General Manager - Operations, based in India. Mr Pfaff has over 30 years of experience as a petroleum engineer and as a project manager working in international projects including China, Middle East, Russia, Indonesia, India and Nigeria and the majority of the active US basins. His expertise includes completion design and supervision including unconventional and tight reservoirs, production and drilling operations, well test design and analysis and project management.

Oilex Managing Director, Bruce McCarthy said, "We are pleased to have Andrew join the Oilex senior management team. His skills are well aligned with the work the Company is undertaking at our Cambay project in India and he brings a wealth of appropriate experience and knowledge of operations to this role, coupled with his strong background in unconventional resources. Andy has reviewed the Cambay project in detail and I am very encouraged that he has elected to join us."

For the past nine years Mr Pfaff has been managing all aspects of operations in China for large US independents specialising in tight gas and oil projects. Some of his achievements in these roles in China included pioneering work in introducing horizontal drilling and large scale, multi-stage fracture stimulation using modern techniques targeting unconventional resources. Mr Pfaff was Operations Manager for Burlington Resources and ConocoPhillips in China prior to his current role.

Mr Pfaff will initially be assisting the Company on a part-time basis pending the finalization of project approvals from the Cambay Joint Venture and the commencement of planning for the next wells, at which point Mr Pfaff will become full-time.
