Unconditional Approval from OFT for Acquisition of Tennent's
Dublin, London, 30 November 2009: C&C Group plc ('C&C' or the 'Group'), a leading manufacturer, marketer and distributor of branded beverages in Ireland and the UK, today announces that it has received unconditional approval from the UK Office of Fair Trading ('OFT') in respect of the acquisition of the Tennent's business.
The Group has completed the integration process in the Republic of Ireland and the integration of the Scottish business is well advanced. Following approval from the OFT, C&C will now proceed with the integration of the Northern Irish business.
