PLC11 April 2008 11 April 2008 SYMPHONY ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGIES PLC Anticipated Offering of Grant Symphony Environmental Technologies Plc ("Symphony"), the degradable plasticsand waste-to-energy Group, announces that Symphony Energy Ltd (the "Company")has been notified by the Technology Strategy Board ("TSB") that it anticipatesoffering the Company, and its consortium of partners, a grant for research anddevelopment in the area of High Value Manufacturing relating to a rubber productenhanced recovery technology project. The Company is the lead partner, the other members of the consortium areacademic and commercial partners. The partners were chosen for their expertisewhich wholly supports the collaborative research and development of microwavepyrolysis and rubber product enhanced recovery. Notification from the TSB states that a formal offer letter for the above isexpected to be issued by the end of the first week of May. The Company then hasa period of time to accept the offer.
