Telefonica O2 Czech Republic, A.S.31 August 2006 Press release Telefonica O2 Introduces Revolutionary O2TV Services Date: 31. 8. 2006 Starting from September 1, 2006 fixed lines become also a channel forentertainment. The first Czech integrated operator Telefonica O2 Czech Republicis introducing its revolutionary O2TV service bringing to customers' homeshundreds of movies, wide selection of TV channels and radio stations. To be able to watch O2TV customers only need a modem supporting O2TV service anda set-top box connected to a standard TV set. At the moment the service may betheoretically used by more than 1 million fixed lines in Prague, Brno, Ostrava,Olomouc, Plzen, Liberec, Ceske Budejovice and many other district cities. Moreareas are going to be covered soon. With O2TV customers get more than just access to movies and TV and radioprogrammes, they can enjoy other benefits of the service as well. The first ofthese services is Videoteka (the Library), a virtual video rental shop wherecustomers will be able to choose from an abundant selection of films, fairytales, and documentaries, all of which will be available for unlimited viewingover a 24 hour period - just like a movie from a classic video rental shop.Initially 250 films will be available for viewing, and their number will grow ata constant rate. TV Archiv (TV Archive) will enable viewers to watch films,serials, or sports broadcasts that they have missed, after up to seven days.O2TV is also going to offer TV Pruvodce (TV Guide), which will enable viewers tolook up information about programmes on individual television channels and radiostations, including detailed information about the shows. Program packages We created the programme packages based on the needs of our customers, they wantto make their own choices and pay only for services they really use. That is whyO2TV is offered in the form of two basic programme packages O2TV Zabava (O2TVFun) and O2TV Kino (O2TV Cinema); together with these schemes customers cansubscribe one of six additional programme offers. Customers who also use O2Internet Expres service will pay CZK 377 excluding VAT for the basic programmepackage. Customers not using O2 Internet Expres service will pay CZK 460 excl.VAT per month for the service. Films "rented" from library will cost between CZK9 and 70 per film excluding VAT. Special offer In connection with the launch of the O2TV service, Telefonica O2 Czech Republichas prepared a special offer for its customers. All customers who order thebasic program package of O2TV Zabava (O2TV Fun) or O2TV Kino (O2TV Cinema)between September 1 to October 31, 2006, will pay just CZK 1 for their firstmonth of using the service. Activation, installation, rental of the requiredset-top box, and access to the TV Archive service will be also charged CZK 1(excluding VAT). Furthermore, as a bonus, subscribers will get their first filmfrom the "Videoteka" Film Hits category for CZK 1 (without VAT).
