Notification of Transactions

By Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial

Responsibility Shareholding

Maple Energy plc (AIM: MPLE; LIMA: MPLE), an integrated energy company with assets in Peru, was notified that on 27 May 2013, Mr. Tony Hines, Senior Vice President and Executive Director, fulfilled his repayment obligations outstanding under an existing sale and repurchase agreement (previously disclosed on 27 November 2012) that became due on 27 May 2013 and repurchased 96,480 ordinary shares at a price of US$1.16 (77p*) per ordinary share.

Following the completion of the transaction described above, Mr. Tony Hines beneficially owns 8,088,491 ordinary shares, or 4.9% of the outstanding share capital of Company on a non-diluted basis
