Notification of transaction in shares by Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities.

The Company has been notified that on 9 April, Mr David Hallett transferred 250,000 ordinary shares of 10 pence each listed against his name to his wife, Mrs Jayne Hallett, for nil consideration.

Following the transaction, Mr Hallett's total holding of shares in Howden Joinery Group Plc (including shares in his wife's name) remained unchanged at 1,033,337 ordinary shares (c. 0.16% of the issued share capital).

This notification is made pursuant to the Disclosure and Transparency Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a).
