London, 5th October, 2011: Gulfsands Petroleum plc ("Gulfsands", the "Group" or the "Company" - AIM: GPX), the oil and gas production, exploration and development company with activities in Syria, Iraq, Tunisia, Italy and the U.S.A., announces that the Company has been advised on 5th October, 2011 that on 27th September, 2011 Mr George Robinson ceased to be a substantial shareholder in the Company.
