MIAMI, July 13 -- Carnival Corporation & plc announces that Sir John Parker, a member of Carnival Corporation & plc's boards of directors, has been appointed as a member of the board of directors of Anglo American plc. He will assume the role of Chairman of Anglo American plc with effect from August 1, 2009.
