Guinness Peat Group plc ("the Company") announces that it has been informed by Morgan Stanley (Institutional Securities Group and Global Wealth Management) ("Morgan Stanley") that on 18 April 2011 Morgan Stanley's interest increased to 55,006,202 ordinary shares in the Company which equates to 3.02% of the Company's total voting rights.
