Guinness Peat Group plc ("the Company") announces that it has been informed by Morgan Stanley (Institutional Securities Group and Global Wealth Management) ("Morgan Stanley") that on 11 July 2011 Morgan Stanley's interest increased to 48,809,264 ordinary shares in the Company which equates to 3.06% of the Company's total voting rights.
