NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTEREST IN SHARES

In accordance with the Disclosure Rules and Transparency Rules, Lookers plc (the Company) hereby advises that:-

It was notified on 24 July 2009 that following a transaction on 23 July 2009, Legal & General Group PLC (L&G) now had a holding of 11,742,461 shares or 3.06% of the Company's Issued Share Capital of 383,526,765 shares.

All shares are voting shares one vote one share.
