"Hanover I Master Fund LP ("HMF") has, as a connected person of a director of Fairpoint (the "Company"), previously notified its interest in 9,730,635 1P ORDINARY SHARES (the "Shares") of the Company. HMF hereby gives further notice that, in line with standard market practice, the Shares are subject to a charge in favour of a prime broker (UBS AG) under the terms of a customary prime brokerage agreement. This notification is made in light of the FSA's statement of 9 January 2009 relating to the disclosure obligations of persons discharging managerial responsibilities and their connected persons who grant security over their shareholdings in an issuer."
