Notification of Change of Auditor

St. Modwen Properties PLC (LSE: SMP), the UK's leading regeneration specialist, today announces its intention to recommend to shareholders the appointment of KPMG LLP ("KPMG") as its external auditor for the financial year ending 30th November 2017.

As disclosed in the Company's 2015 Annual Report, the Audit Committee determined that the external audit would be put out to competitive tender in 2016 in line with regulatory requirements. That tender has now concluded, resulting in a recommendation by the Audit Committee to the Board to appoint KPMG.

A resolution to approve the appointment of KPMG will be put to shareholders at the Company's AGM in 2017. The Company's current auditor, Deloitte LLP, will remain in post for the financial year ending 30th November 2016.
