NOTIFICATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH LISTING RULE 9.6.14

Notification is made in accordance with LR 9.6.14 that Mr John Patrick Daly, an Executive Director of British American Tobacco p.l.c. (the "Company"), having previously been designated by Brown & Williamson Holdings, Inc. ("B&W") (a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of the Company) as its nominee to join the Board of Reynolds American Inc. ("RAI"), has been appointed a Director of RAI with effect from 1 December 2010. The Company, through B&W, has an interest in RAI of approximately 42%.
