3i Group PLC30 September 2005 3i Group plc 3i Group plc announces that it has put in place arrangements in connection withits share buy-back programme to enable its brokers to purchase, for resale to itand cancellation, 3i Group plc shares in the market during its close periodwhich commences at close of business today and which ends at the publication ofthe Group's interim results (currently scheduled for 10 November). In accordancewith paragraph 12.2.1R of the Listing Rules, this programme will during thisperiod be managed by an independent third party which will during this periodmake its trading decisions in relation to the shares independently of, anduninfluenced by, 3i Group plc.
